I do not feel like I am competing against anyone, but rather I am helping all. Here, the surrender of ego is needed. Keep It Simple, With so many choices and decisions, so many demands from people and events, in our modern fast changing world, it’s a real challenge to ‘keep it simple’. Making it simple means making things easy and clear. The magic wand to wave over your life is ‘planning and prioritizing’. Make plans, long and short term and then prioritize. Then practice taking one thing at a time, so you can have one thought at a time, with some space before you have to have your next thought. But don’t get attached to your plans or priorities. Be flexible (easy) and yet focused (clear) and in this way you can teach yourself to think simply and act simply.
One thought at a time. At your own pace. In your own space. A simple life is a contented life. Resolve Conflict, There has probably never been a time where there has been so much fear and conflict across the world, not just across oceans and borders but across the breakfast table. In fact many now prefer conflict to peace, as they become addicted to the actions of anger and aggression, and the adrenaline rush which results. They don’t really want conflict to end, in fact, they will say that some conflict is good to get things done and stimulate change. They are not aware that they are killing themselves.
All conflict is simply a symptom of attachment to a position. And as we know, this generates fear, and fear, if allowed to stay, eventually kills it’s host. All solutions are based on detachment or letting go. But that will be difficult until we can see that all possession is an illusion, that we have nothing to lose and that there are no victories in winning.
Past Is Past, Practice the habit of saying “Past is past.” Keep moving forward. If something negative happens, don’t feel guilty about it. Simply have the determined thought to conquer it. Rechannel the energy that usually goes into guilt or regret into positive thought and willpower, so that the soul says, “Yes, I am making efforts to change and improve myself.”
