Masala Buttermilk | Quick Recipe | Summer Special

Well, well, well ! Who would not like to have that chill glass of buttermilk after a tired day! Drinking buttermilk would make you feel rejuvenated and will hydrate your body as well. Ayurveda says that consuming buttermilk, preferably during the day time does good to the digestive system. It enriches your body with calcium. Wash the utensils cleanly in the corona virus times, keep extra cautious while cooking!

There might be a lot of them who do not like to consume milk; especially the children. For them, buttermilk is a perfect option. And what more to ask for when it is loaded with some mild spices which can enhance its taste. I am sure you would not like to miss out on this delicious yet simple recipe. So here are the ingredients you would require-

Curd– 1 cup

Cumin powder- 1/2 tsp

Chaat Masala- 1/2 tsp

Pepper Powder- a pinch

Asafoetida- a pinch

Grated Ginger- 1/2 tsp

Finely chopped fresh Coriander Leaves- 1 tsp

Salt to taste

Method:

Mix all the above-mentioned ingredients and churn well. Add some cold water for diluting. Your masala buttermilk is ready to drink.

You can also season this buttermilk with some mustard seeds and curry leaves to enhance its flavor. But I bet you would never be able to carry on with that seasoning because your buttermilk would already be irresistibly tasty after adding those spice powders in it and you will definitely not be able to wait.
